June 26, 2009 - Connor's 12th Birthday!
Connor had a great time celebrating his birthday...for 3 days! His friend, Pierce, came over in the morning and they hung out and played some video games. Then Connor had his final tennis match, and his team tennis swim party...we took a cookie cake so everyone could sing Happy Birthday and share in the celebration. They had a great time at the pool...what a beautiful day for swimming and hanging out with friends! Connor has decided to give up the big birthday bashes in favor of the "cash". A sure sign that he is growing up! He has been saving his own money for an iPod Touch and asked for a money towards that...he got an apple gift card and money from the Grandparents and he was thrilled! He was surprised to get money from us too...you can see how those big bills light up his eyes! Connor always spends his money wisely and works hard to save for things he really wants...I'm really proud of him! He is such an awesome young man...fun, entertaining and has a great sense of humor, gives 110% at whatever he does... he's just all around awesome!! (Even if I am his Mom and I am totally biased!) He had his friend, Alexander, spend the night and we went to dinner at On the Border, then to the Apple Store...ALL the boys were in heaven there...technology everywhere! I have to admit...I was ready to buy an iPhone myself!! He was very excited to purchase the iPod Touch he has waited so long to get! It is such a cool gadget...I can see why he wanted it! After dragging them out of the store, we went to see the new Transformers: II movie...they all enjoyed it alot. Connor had a great 12th birthday and could not have been more happy!
