Christmas morning is finally here! Austin woke up at 7:00 and said "Merry Christmas!"...I said its pretty early and suggested a little more sleep...then I wondered why it was so quite...he went back to bed and slept till 9:00 a.m. Nana and Papa arrived just in time for the kiddo's to come down stairs...they know the routine...wait for the group shot of the sleepy-heads coming downstairs...they don't love it, but they know we do, so they are good sports about that. Stockings are always first...seems Santa always has a few surprises they don't expect and a gift card...didn't realize that they look so forward to what kind of gift card is left in their stocking...guess Santa has done that enough that it is now a Santa tradition. :) The big gifts this year were an electric guitar amplifier for Brandon, an iPod docking station for Connor, an i-Touch for Austin and an American Girl for Anna. It was a wonderful Christmas morning...lots of smiles and laughter and wonderful family time together. We all enjoyed a leisurely morning of opening gifts, our traditional breakfast of Strata and fresh fruit accompanied by Nana's fabulous home-made cinnamon rolls and Anna's cream cheese cinnamon logs. The afternoon was filled with playing with their toys and getting ready to go celebrate Christmas with my parents, sisters, nieces and nephews that night...I love all the family time we get during the holidays!
